Red Eyes
Red eye is an eye that appears red due to injury, illness, and some other conditions. It is not surprising that doctors often deal with patients with red eyes with primary care in their practices. It is usually refer to hyperemia of the superficial blood vessels of the conjunctiva, sclera or episclera, that may be caused by disorders or diseases of adjacent structures that may affect them indirectly or directly. When blood vessels near the surface of the eye become enlarged and dilated, redness occurs. It is important to know why or how did you have red eye.
Red eyes have several causes. An inflammation of the eye may be conjunctivitis which can be caused by other several conditions.
